A smile is your introduction to the rest of the world. As an orthodontist, it is my goal to help make your smile the best it can be. For the past 32 years, I have come to work every day knowing that I’ll have the chance to do something that truly improves people’s lives. The rewards of that knowledge, and the appreciation my patients have shown me, have made this a remarkably fulfilling career.
EDUCATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
I attended Creighton University for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and continued on to attain my Specialty Certification in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota.
The field of orthodontics is always interesting; just when you think you’ve seen it all, there is a new challenge to solve. To keep up with these changes, I attend continuing education in all aspects of orthodontics, as well as general dentistry, which comes in handy when a multi-disciplinary approach is needed.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
I am originally from South Dakota but have spent the past 28 years living on Lake Wapogasset. My wife, Kim, and I have four married daughters, seven wonderful grandchildren, and a five-pound dog named Vinnie. Life on the lake has been just about as idyllic as possible; Kim and I spend most of our free time on it and in it. I’ve also been known to play a round or two of golf.
The Chippewa Valley is a fantastic community that has always supported me and my work, and I have always supported the schools and local activities in return. It’s a two-way street to make our community the best it can be.
